The facilities inside the spa include:

Aqua Dome: Has 3 different experiences which last one minute, each one .All these increase the amount of tonicity in the skin, leaving it tenser.

Cosy Wall & Showers: A wall especially designed to help the back, while the tepid water flows over the body like a waterfall.

Kneipp Walk (Kneipp cold water pool and reflexology): The cold water enlarges the muscle tone, prevents the varicose veins and edemas in the lower limbs, and alleviates tired legs.

Lagoon: Pool with water at body temperature 35 °C. Alternating its use with the cold water pool provide an effect of stimulation on the circulation.

Out of African Sauna (African sauna): dry heat room it maintains a constant temperature of 90 °C. The dry heat opens the pores of the skin and favors the elimination of toxins by means of transpiration

Ice World and igloo: Especially recommended after the sauna, it allows the therapeutic virtues of cold and ice.

Saline Caldarium (vapor bath): With a temperature of 45 °C, this room combines the healthy effects of vapor and inhalations. Its use favors a healthy respiratory system and improvement the health of hair and skin

Relaxation room with waterbeds:The light balance of waterbeds, music and soft lighting in the room give a pleasant sensation of protection, similar to like which a baby feels in the womb.

Lava Relaxion Dome: Relaxation with ergonomic sun-beds, lighting with colors inspired by the energy of the chakras, smooth, exotic fragrances sounds and a column of lava in the centre where water flows gently.

Turkish Hammam (Turkish bath): Room inspired by Arabian traditional architecture, with a temperature of 45 °C, humidity situated between 80 and 90%, and a source of water in the centre so you can refresh yourself

Lava Float Pool (flotation pool): An extraordinary lava cave with a pool. Thanks dissolved salts in the pool, the body floats gently in the water in a similar way to the Dead Sea.

Himalayan salt cave: First room in Spain that recreates the environment of a salt cave in the Himalayas. It extracted from natural deposits situated from a depth of 100 to 300 meters, the crystalline salt of the Himalayas constitutes an extraordinary source of energy.For this reason, its use is especially recommended for those people that suffer asthma, migraines or allergies associated with the respiratory system.

The exterior area of the spa, approximately 1,500 m2, has landscaped, a hammocks zone for the sun baths and 4 pools. These include a pool with an approximate temperature of 35 °C; a whirlpool with water hammocks, water spurts and an approximate temperature of 35 °C; a freshwater sports pool for aquatic sports, with an approximate temperature of 20 °C, and a contrast pool for use after the sauna, with an approximate temperature of 12 °C.

Corallium Aquatsu

Underwater massage

“Aquatsu” is a massage applied under water. The Aquatsu technique comes from the union of ancient natural therapies like “Shiatsu” and the traditional Chinese massage called “Anma”, as well as stretching and other rehabilitating massage techniques.
During the massage application the therapist uses a warm water pool instead of a treatment room.
This is an unconventional and at the same time very impressive treatment and its success increases every day at the Spa centres around the world.

Its therapeutic aim is much more than a pure relaxing massage; Aquatsu acts on the body freeing energy blockages and activating the Ki energy (Yin & Yang) so that it can flow freely. Water has a protagonist roll during this massage, because due to water friction all 12 body meridians are stimulated. This technique uses hand and water pressure on the different parts of the body.

The technique is based on stretching movements which strengthen muscles and increase flexibility. Warm water is the ideal medium to practice this massage technique. Water diminishes the weight on the vertebras allowing the spinal column to move in a way which is impossible outside the pool. Soft gradual stretching movements release the pressure of a rigid spinal column on nerves. It also helps to loosen any dysfunction this pressure might cause on organs connected to the nerves. The receiver of an Aquatsu session experiences an improved flexibility and more freedom. During the session a wide range of emotions will be experienced entering into a process of “continuous flowing”. The customer is re-programmed to be able to face life being much more flexible and balanced.

Thai Massage

The traditional massage from Thailand is an ancient curing art which has been developed and transmitted from masters to pupils in the course of the years. Its beneficial effects are well known since 500 years before our era.
It is a therapy easy to be applied and very effective as a preventive treatment as well as a curative treatment for many ailments and pains, such as headaches, backaches, cervical pains, tennis arm, lumbago, and others.

This massage – which shows a profound knowledge of the human anatomy – is given with a meticulous and very effective work on the whole musculature. It is especially indicated to loosen tense muscles and articulations, to improve the blood circulation and the lymphatic system and to help activating the metabolism.

During the massage the therapist works on the body’s meridians/energy lines (the 10 Sen). When these channels are blocked, pains and diseases are produced. The therapist uses hands and feet to apply pressure on specific points along these channels, combining soft stretching movements and yoga techniques. The result is stimulating and at the same time relaxing. The body’s self-regulating capacity is liberated; balance, health and harmony are restored.

As important as the therapist’s movements is the creation of a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere which helps the costumer to relax body, mind and spirit. At the Corallium Spa Costa Meloneras this massage is given in a specially designed room with an oriental ambience, where the illumination is soft and the music the most appropriate for this kind of massage. During the massage the customer wears comfortable clothes and no shoes, since the massage is carried out on a futon.

Before the session begins the customer is instructed how to breathe correctly for optimum massage effects. The customer has to breathe rhythmically inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. The therapist’s movements start at the feet and slowly move upwards. Pressing movements along the different meridians are carried out with hands and feet, followed by a circular abdominal massage. The massage session ends with pressing and stretching movements on arms and head.

Turkish Soap Massage

At present there are many wonderful skin treatments with the desired results of improving the skin and making it look more luminous and young.

The efficiency of these cosmetic treatments depends to a great extent on how clean the skin is. Dead skin cells and toxics can difficult the products’ penetration and therefore an exfoliation has to be the previous step to increase their beneficial results.

The CORALLIUM SPA COSTA MELONERAS presents the Turkish Soap Massage:

This simple exfoliating treatment provides the customer with a clean, luminous and even skin, as well as a healthier and younger aspect. It helps the skin to balance its circuit of cellular renovation providing it with a new texture. Fine expression lines and wrinkles are diminished. It is the best way to start a profound treatment when the skin needs something special.

The treatment consists of a stimulating body peeling with horsehair gloves, activating the blood circulation and the lymphatic system and eliminating dead skin cells. After the treatment the skin is prepared for a sun tan or for a better assimilation of the treatment products’ active agents.

Corallium Chocolate Fancy

At present chocolate is not only a gastronomic pleasure and an energizing product that improves the state of humour, but it has also become an indispensable ingredient in the world of cosmetics.
The reasons for its virtues can be found in the flavones, anti-oxidising agents which neutralize the action of the free radicals responsible for the aging process of the whole organism, not only the skin. Additionally it frees endorphins and restores lost minerals during the menstrual cycle.

Chocolate has a high efficiency when fighting against stress, bad humour, tiredness and it is especially indicated for dry skin as it hydrates and invigorates the body and it re-mineralises the epidermis thanks to its contents of calcium, potassium and magnesium. Chocolate also acts on the nervous system as anti-depressive agent, it stimulates euphoria and it re-vitalises, hydrates and nourishes the skin deeply.

The treatment consists of a peeling with salt from the Dead Sea and warm almond oil which is applied on the whole body eliminating dead skin cells and leaving the skin prepared to receive the sublime sensation of warm chocolate and its delicious aroma involving body and mind.
Afterwards a massage is applied poring warm chocolate on the body through the therapist’s fingers so that he can control its correct temperature; warm chocolate is applied on the back first and then on legs and arms with specific relaxing movements to the sound of Arabian music created especially for this occasion.

The therapist continues with 10 minutes of body envelopment so that the active agents can penetrate deeply into the skin and the best possible treatment effects can be reached. During the time the body envelopment lasts a special facial massage is given, stimulating specific points with the aim of balancing body and mind with a caressing oil essence.
